Information for Pregnant Teens

Jane's Due Process is a non-profit organization working to help pregnant teenagers learn about and access their legal rights. If you are a pregnant unexpectedly, you are facing many difficult decisions, especially if you are under the age of 18. It important to know that there are adults who want to help you, not judge you. You do not have to go through your pregnancy and decision making alone.

This part of the website is divided into four sections.

The first section "pregnancy options" addresses your pregnancy choices, such as adoption, abortion, and parenting. If you want to know if you need legal help regarding your pregnancy, you should visit this section.

The second section "abused pregnant teens" talks about the rights of abused teenagers, runaway laws, and emergency shelter. If you are pregnant and thinking about leaving home, you should visit this section.

The third section "right to public education" talks about a pregnant student's rights to an education. If you are pregnant and your school is trying to force you to leave, blocking you from taking classes you want to take, or not allowing you to participate in certain school activities, you should visit this section.

The fourth section "emancipation for pregnant teens" talks about the Texas emancipation law. If you are pregnant and considering emancipation, you should visit this section.
