About Us

Jane's Due Process is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization originally launched in January 2001 to serve as an information and advocacy center dedicated to promoting the fair application of the judicial bypass option of the Texas parental notification law.

We have since expanded our services to address the needs of pregnant teens who like those that seek judicial bypass, face potential parental abuse and abandonment regarding the decision to continue an unexpected pregnancy. It is simply not a choice for a teen to end a pregnancy when she is ready to become a parent solely because she fears abuse or homelessness by her parents.

We also provide services to help students facing federal and state law violations in public high schools when they are denied the right to enroll or continue attending high school due to pregnancy discrimination. It is simply not a choice for a teen to end a pregnancy when she is ready to become a parent solely because she fears being forced to quit school or drop her chosen curriculum by her school administrators.

Our goal is to ensure that each minor in the State of Texas who seeks legal relief for reproductive choice has fair and equal access to the court system, regardless if she chooses to continue or end an unexpected pregnancy.
